Denise Lang Campbellville Director since 2000 |
Denise taught for 30 years in the elementary schools of Ontario. She has been on the board of directors for the Lymphovenous Association for 7 years, many of those as the Treasurer. She has handled our telephone and email support line, assisted in organizing the Annual Conference and worked on fundraising. Currently she holds the office of President and Chair of the Board of Directors. |

Anne Blair Scarborough Director since 2000 |
Anne has worked for the past 25 years at Sunnybrook Cancer Centre as a clinical nurse working with breast cancer patients. She has been active with the Canadian Cancer Society, leading support groups for them for the last 25 years. She co-leads the LAO lymphedema information and support group at Wellspring and is Vice-Chair of the LAO Board of the Directors. |

Fran Suran Toronto Director since 2002 |
Fran has over 20 years experience in the financial services and technology sectors. She has developed and presented educational workshops on lymphedema from a patient’s perspective for patients, students and health care professionals at Princess Margaret Hospital. She has collaborated with A. Kennedy on funding proposals to CBCF and Ontario Trillium Foundation. She is currently an LAO Board Member. |

Ruby Kreindler Toronto Director since 2004 |
As a professional social worker, Ruby has a wide range of experience including counselling and adult education. In the volunteer sector, she has experience recruiting, coordinating, training and expanding a volunteer base. She currently is the leader of the LAO information and support group for lymphedema patients at Wellspring, Sunnybrook location as well as a Board Member. |

Kim Gagan ThunderBay Returning Director |
Kim Gagan was one of the founding members of the LAO in 1996 and was instrumental in getting the LAO off the ground. She held several positions on the board including Secretary and Acting President throughout the late 1990’s. She is an experienced lawyer (Assistant Crown Attorney with the Ministry of the A.G. since 2000) who drafted the by-laws for LAO while it was seeking non-profit status in 1997. Kim is the Secretary of the Board. |

Peggy Pearce Toronto New Director |
Peggy has over twelve years experience as Controller in the retail operation of Mont Blanc. Prior to that her experience in the medical community was as Assistant to the Medical Director at St.John’s Rehabilitation Hospital, liaising between all the specialties within the hospital and outside facilities. Peggy is familiar with the challenges facing lymphedema patients and does the taping for her mother on a regular basis. Peggy is the treasurer of the LAO board. |

Anna Kennedy Executive Director |
Anna has over 30 years senior leadership experience with major Canadian Companies in the areas of training and communications. After several years on the Board and volunteering her time for various projects, she is currently the Executive Director of the Lymphovenous Association of Ontario. As a cancer survivor and lymphedema patient she advocates a healthy lifestyle and positive attitude as her best tools in living a full life with lymphedema. |

Heather Moore Office Coordinator |
Heather spent much of her working life involved with geographic information be it cartography, automated mapping, marketing, training, systems analysis or development planning. Most recently, she spent 7 years working as a secondary school geography teacher in Toronto. She now brings her organization, administrative, technology, training and analytical skills to this new and interesting position with the LAO. |
